It's so good to season Sharon Gless back on television. Now I have to admit that I am hooked. The rest of the cast, even with what I said about the acting above, has great chemistry.Worth a look. When this show first aired, I watched the first couple of episodes and found the acting to be weak and the writing even weaker. I wrote off the show and didn't watch again until I kept reading rave reviews about it online.I recently purchased Season One and watched all the episodes back to back.
Plus, Miami makes for a great scene. It is never boring, and always interesting. And Bruce Campbell is in it too. Another great show by USA. This show is good in every way, and i know you will like it.
A bit of a throwback to some other older shows you may catch from time-to-time where there is enough things to make you smile along the spy/cop way. The off major networks seem to have been doing a very good job the last few years giving us some shows that are well worth watching, Monk, Damages, The Shield and others. Burn Notice is one of those shows you should watch. It revolves around a former US agent, played by Jeffrey Donovan, who is no longer needed by the government and is summarily dumped (burned in the spy business) and then starts doing PI type work while trying to figure out what happened and why.A combination of mystery/spy with a bit of humor also thrown in makes this show very enjoyable, much in the way that Monk is enjoyable.
Great to have when there is nothing on TV to watch or I'm looking for a little action to watch. Thoroughly enjoy watching one of my favorite TV series programs again anytime I want to.
It is hip and funny and cool and the writing is good. Get Burned. I highly suggest this one, along with Dexter---Dexter: The First Season, also so good. The added bonus for me was the scenery of Miami, a city I love. No, seriously, you can't go wrong with this dvd set. I love, love love this show.
